Research has established a compelling link between personal and social development and school success. The personal, social and behavioral competence of children is a strong predictor of academic performance in school. High quality early care education and a strong after school program results in benefits to children including better readiness for school, stronger cognitive or thinking skills, and language development. Later benefits include improved high school graduation rates, reduced rates of teen pregnancy, lower rates of incarceration, and increased job success. As leaders in the community we must strive to provide our children with the highest quality care possible.

High-quality care involves consistent, dependable caregivers and teachers with the skills and education to provide a learning-rich, developmentally appropriate environment. Because of the Villa’s longevity, reputation, and bountiful resources we are called to continue to set the standard of quality. It is our responsibility to invest our time, talents, and resources to use the current research and data as a guide to offer best practices for our children and families with whom we aim to serve.

Our purpose is to raise the bar for others to follow.
