After School

At the end of a long day at school, children and teenagers often feel stressed, overwhelmed and exhausted. Homework may be the last thing on your child’s mind when she comes home from school. At LCC after school program, we combine activities that allow your child to be a kid and de-stress with productive homework time that encourages problem-solving, critical thinking and group awareness. Our six through fourteen year olds enjoy recreational activities including physical play on the campus, swimming at a location off campus during the summer, the use of our indoor gym and Kaboom playground. For older children preparing for middle school and high school the program promotes community awareness via field trips to libraries, museums, sporting, and other special events. The Voyagers also participate in center clubs, where they develop goals and make lasting friendships with other club members. During the school year, the after school program provides full day services when Henrico County Public Schools are closed for children to enjoy a fun, productive day off with hot, nutritious breakfast and lunches included!
