Welcome!

The Lewis Children’s Center is a nonprofit child development center with programs for children from 6 weeks to 14 years of age.

We take pride in our quality of service and are fully licensed by the Virginia Department of Social Services and certified by the national Council on Accreditation (COA).

Since its founding in 1982, Lewis Children's Center has remained steadfast in its philosophy: to provide a safe, healthy and stimulating environment which serves children and their families through deliberate and progressive programming.

In short, we take seriously our work - to make a difference in the lives of the young children entrusted to us!

Our Location

The happy sounds of the children at Lewis Children's Center fill one of the timeless buildings on the beautiful campus of St. Joseph's Villa, an area landmark since 1931.

Our location - at the intersection of Brook Road (US-!) and Parham Road, just off I-95 - makes Lewis Children's Center especially convenient for parents who live or work in the north Richmond area.

We also offer transportation from school to Lewis Children's Center for children enrolled in our After-School programs.

Hours of Operation

Lewis Children's Center is open from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm, Monday through Friday, year -round for full-day and after-school care. Summer camps and part-time programs are also available.

Our mission is to provide your child with
programs designed specifically to nurture his or her developmental, creative and educational needs in a comfortable, safe and enjoyable environment.
